Rich and I don’t go out to eat often, but when we do it’s ALWAYS to sushi restaurants! There’s this gorgeous little place only open on weekdays near where I used to live in London where we’d get the BEST salmon avocado rolls, Sancerre, crispy squid and EDAMAME 💚

No matter how hard I tried I could never get my edamame at home to taste as good as this place… BUT I think I’ve cracked the code! 🔍 broil it!!

SESAME BROILED EDAMAME
(GF, V, NF, DF)
——————————————
-1 pack frozen edamame (in pods)
-1 tbsp sesame oil
-2 tsp sesame seeds
-3 generous pinches flakey salt

1. Put the oven on to a high broil (or on the highest setting of grill in UK ovens).

2. Place the frozen pods on a unlined baking tray, place in the oven and broil/grill for 5-8 minutes until some are slightly browned, tossing often.

3. Remove from the oven place in a bowl and toss with salt, sesame oil and sesame seeds. Add an extra glut of sesame oil and a generous pinch of salt on top before serving and enjoy the most moorish snack ever!
