My SUNSHINE SHOT 🌞✨
I will be making a reel for a full video tutorial! ✌🏻 Interested?
While this ginger shot might not have vitamin D in it, I do know it lifts my mood like nothing else!
If you’ve ed me for a while, you would know that I’m not one to hype detoxes or juices, and while ginger has been seen to have some evidence of anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits these shots just make me HAPPY!
I used to spend £7-14 pounds a week on ginger shots because there was no way I was buying (and cleaning 🤪) a juicer or buying cheesecloth to make my own, BUT I figured why can’t I just strain the pulp out? 💡
I enjoy ginger shots with some cayenne and lemon, adding the mix to water more often then not to add some flavour but Rich prefers a bit of sweetness to his so we add apples- all processed and juiced the same way!
This recipe is completely malleable to your own taste and preferences but here is a guideline that we use 👇🏻
SUNSHINE GINGER SHOT
(GF, V, NF, RSF, P, K)
7-8 pieces of ginger (size dependant; I find the smaller ginger varieties to be much spicier!)
A generous dash of cayenne
1. Blend the ginger with a few glugs of water. Place a strainer over a bowl and press the pulp down so the juices run through. Press until pulp is dry.
2. Follow the same instructions as above with the apples. Squeeze in the lemon and cayenne! Mix and Enjoy!
