Slightly crunchy from the gluten free breading, but still with that salty gooey texture from the halloumi. Literal perfection! I had Rich from across the pond drooling over these guys from all the pictures 😅
ALSO, speaking about across the pond hello from sunny England!!! 🌞 I made it home safe and sound, and am thinking up some great recipes to keep me occupied during my quarantine here! Any suggestions are welcome!
Herby Halloumi Fries
-1 pack of halloumi, cut into strips **
You can either use a pre herbed halloumi, or toss/marinate the halloumi in some dried thyme, oregano, and garlic
-1 egg, whisked
-1/2 cup gluten free breadcrumbs (I used panerisofoods)
1. Preheat oven to 180C. Have the whisked egg in one bowl, and the breadcrumbs ready in another.
2. Take a halloumi stick, roll it in the whisked egg, and then place in the breadcrumbs, coating generously.
3. Place the coated halloumi sticks on a lined baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes or until slightly browned and enlarged.
ENJOY with aioli, ketchup or your fave sauce 🥰
